One Stop - Ready, Set, Go!

Get Active home page imagePart of the city’s Active Living Initiative to increase physical activity and healthy eating, GetActiveColumbus.com is Columbus’ one-stop, on-line source for fit and fun activities for the whole family.  Created by Columbus Public Health, the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, and the Mayor’s Office, GetActiveColumbus.com gives people of all ages the information they need to eat healthy foods and to get active.

With a few easy clicks, visitors can find recipes for nutritious, convenient and affordable meals, healthy snack tips and farmer’s markets around the city.  GetActiveColumbus.org also connects visitors to local resources such as neighborhood parks, recreation centers and the YMCA, events and walking maps to get moving.

And, for those who prefer 2 wheels to two legs, The Institute for Active Living also has connections to bike advocacy groups such as Consider Biking, bike stores, safety information, and places to volunteer and receive a bike or to purchase an inexpensive, used bicycle.
