Columbus Art Walks
Discover Neighborhood Gems in Art, Architecture and History
Columbus Public Health unveiled Columbus Art Walks to showcase the city’s unique artistic, architectural and historical sites – and to get people moving! The self guided walking maps and audio tours explore hidden gems in several Columbus neighborhoods, including the Discovery District, Arena District, the Ohio Statehouse, German Village, Short North and the University District.
The free walking maps provide entertainment for art buffs, educational lessons for students, and visual distractions for residents trying to stay active. Whatever the motivation, walking is a great way to maintain a healthy body weight.
Physical activity helps prevent obesity, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and even some cancers. The U.S. Surgeon General recommends 60 minutes of physical activity for children and 30 minutes for adults each day.
